affair between her and Proctor, shows her affection towards him)

Elizabeth, foreshadows how Abby will try and get rid of her, Elizabeth seems to be Abigail’s
driving motive as to why she accuses people)

time)
Putnam
- “Let your enemies make of it what they will, you cannot blink it more” (saying to Parris that
he must admit there is witchcraft in the village and stand up for himself) A1 Pg12

Proctor, this helps to brings to light that Proctor is not fully devoted to religion)

defensive over what land is ‘rightfully’ his and what people can do with it)
