Shakespeare background
● Shakespeare's structure
○ All his tragedies have 5 acts
■ Act 1: introduction, meet all the major characters, scenario

■ Act 3: catastrophe, someone usually dies or some terrible thing happens

just fought in a war is even worse” (because people might think the turks
made it and that the war is still going on)

○ Othello says “i know your trying to stick up for cassio and trying to make it seem
less than it is”

○ Because of these letters that roderigo left, now everyone knows iago was behind

○ Ultimately the handkerchief is the proof of how terrible iago is
