She never married, sometimes called the virgin queen 
Queen Elizabeth sometimes saw some of Shakespeare’s shows, but most of the 
(well known ones) plays were made after she died  
Queen Elizabeth died in her sleep 
Near Queen Elizabeth’s death, she felt depressed 
At 55 years old, under her lead, England defeated the Spanish Armada 
Childhood and birth 
Her dad executed her mom, and then the dad and brother died, and then the 
older sister (Mary) became queen, but she didn’t trust Elizabeth, so she threw 
her in a tower

Dad is Henry the 8th 
Mom is Anne Boleyn 
Has a half older sister named Mary and a half brother named Edward 
Her mother was executed by her father when Elizabeth was only 2 years old 
After her father’s death, she stayed with her stepmother Catherine Parr 
Her stepmother’s new husband, Thomas Seymour, was found guilty and was 
executed 
Her brother died in 1553 

Thomas Wyatt organized a rebellion against Mary in 1554 with the hopes of 
making Protestant-raised Elizabeth queen
