The number of moles of H2O per 1 mole of Ionic Compound -> (Always a whole number)

Example
CuSO4

Heat until the mass is constant โ€“ evaporate all the water (320g CuSO4 anhydrous + H2O)
Calculate the moles of CuSO4 anhydrous -> mol=mass/mr
-> 320/(64+32+(16*4)) = 2 mol
-> Calculate mass and moles of H2O -> 500-320 = 180h H2O = 180/18 = 10 mol
