Ensure the footballs are pumped up ready to be used by the students, enough for each student in the class, but
if not 1 footy between 2 students

-20x footballs minimum
-20x cones
-6x bibs

-Students to bring in all the footballs from the drill and place them under their arms
-Number off the students into groups of 3 for the next activity
-The groups of 3 should have 2 balls between the group

Activity 2: Five Star Goal kicking

Sort the groups inside the forward
50 or in a large space so they are
in the shape of a star, should be 5
points where the students line up,
if necessary have two different
groups going at the same time

This is just to get an idea of the
pattern that they need to achieve

Let the groups kick the ball in
pattern to go around the star for a
couple of minutes and then add in
a goal kick for the last person in
the star rotation

it again through the formation of

Kicking
-Students should focus on the direction
of their kick and a drop punt would be
the most appropriate kick for the drill

-Students should be switched on and
alert to understand how the football
travels around in the star formation

-Teacher should stand between the
two groups watching carefully and
correcting if necessary on ball
movement through this drill

-Teacher may need to go through
another demonstration if required

-This allows the students to naturally
kick the football and not worry about
the daunting task of getting the footy
through two big goal posts

Bridging organisation:
-Bring the students in again, but maintain near the goals
-Students are to get into partners and nominate a pair that each student wants to verse
-Set out the 6 points for around the world race as the students go out to the drill
