Discuss  the  various  roles  perception  and  language  can  play  in
establishing  our  cultural  identities

What’s  perception  exactly?  It  can  be  detected  as  the  5  senses  we  use  on
daily  basis  to  visualize  and  understand  today’s  world
...
Now  in  2015,  spoken  and  body  language  are  used  more  often  than
written  language
...
Nowadays,  both  concepts  play  similar  important  roles  yet  one
shapes  up  the  other
...
Proof  to  this  statement  is  the  Principle  of
Linguistic  Relativity  which  claims  the  type  of  structure  a  language  has  can  have
a  effect  on  the  ways  speakers  conceive  their  view  of  the  world
...

When  we  talk  about  the  relation  between  perception  and  cultural  identities,
perception  plays  a  less  important  role  than  language
...
 People  start
having  a  different  view  of  situations  which  shapes  up  the  5  senses  they  use
...
Though  its  not  a  large  issue,  it  brings  up  numerous  situations  of
confusions  among  citizens
...
Perception  is  also  known  as  the  second  stage  after
language  inside  of  the  development  of  cultural  identities  and  at  that  point,  not
a  big  difference  has  occurred  to  a  person’s  cultural  identities  except  for  its
thoughts/emotions/experiences
...
 These  three
concepts  are  powerful  enough  to  be  the  basis  of  how  we  visualize  the  world
and  it  is  influenced  by  categories  and  patterns  of  the  language  a  person
speaks
...
Through  that,  language  has  control  on  how  you  perceive  the
situation
...
 Because  of  those  thoughts,  my

body  all  of  the  sudden  felt  tired  and  I  kept  yawning  whenever  I  tried  to  do
homework  or  go  out  to  play
...
 As  a
final  result,  being  lazy  became  a  part  of  my  identity  as  the  environment  and
own  culture  were  making  my  situation  even  worse  (such  as
negativity/misunderstandment/etc)
...
Back  in  7th  grade,  maturity  level  of  a  average  teenage  girl  wasn’t
exactly  high  nor  low
...
Girls  were  getting  hurt  by  rude  street  language
...
As  you  can  see,  the  language
which  was  used  influenced  our  minds  and  our  sense  of  seeing
...
Language  is  knows  as  the  first  stage  of  the  development
towards  perception,  and  then  to  shaping  up  cultural  identity
...
Do  not  get  mistaken  though  (!)  that  perception  and  language  are
important  roles  but  aren’t  the  only  roles  in  cultural  identity
...
 Cultural  identity  doesn’t
fully  depend  for  development  on  these  2  concepts,  but  they’re  the  most
researched  and  known  ones  in  the  most  recent  studies
...
It’s  a  complicated  research  to  see  whether
perception  might  be  more  important  than  language,  but  for  the  moment
language  rules  over  the  perception
...
 Just  remember,  language
and  perception  are  the  two  basic  cognitive  systems  which  constantly  interact
and  rely  on  each  other  in  our  daily  existence
