The key requirements needed for Bluewater to provide a healthy, safe and productive
workplace, which I will also look at, involve complying with health & safety
legislation, a health and safety poster, a health and safety policy statement, carrying
out a Risk Assessment, maintaining an accident book, training, educating &
informing, provision & maintenance of safety equipment & procedures, security and
safety of staff and others, safety signs and notices, and working conditions in the
workplace

The regulations I looked at, which Bluewater must perform in order to be safe, are:
Organisation of traffic routes – If there is a high-quality design of roadways
near the site of Bluewater, there will be a prevention of road accidents, more
consideration of these hazards, and the many people who shop there will
have less chance of being harmed on the road

But fewer injuries of customers and
staff will make it a more secure establishment to visit as well as safer to
drive to, as the design and construction of roadways handles any problems
with traffic

Non – smoking
areas, seats with backrests and tables should be given, otherwise
distress can be harmful to customer’s natural health
...

Maintenance of workplace equipment, devices & systems –All stores within
Bluewater, including the centre itself, needs to handle all of their equipment
so clearly that no one can be harmed by any accidents caused

Ventilation – Lung diseases and asthma are a couple of those inflicted
upon British workers such as those with Bluewater because they breath
in contaminants such as fumes or dust while at work

All staff
needs proper air circulation in order to work healthily, so Bluewater
would have to make sure plenty of vents are installed, as well as have
any available windows opened

Temperature can cause cold and heat stress, dehydration, handling
food in certain conditions and can lead to working in the sun
...
If everyone if satisfied, they can move
around the area without facing improper heat
...
Any location which staff go to within
the workplace, would need sufficient lighting to prevent them from eye
strain, especially among stairs

But its standard of cleanliness would depend on the use of each

satisfactory and hygienic, no chemicals or substances left out, floors
kept clean to avoid slips

Room dimension & spacing – Each work area should have plenty of
space so that people can move freely as they work

measurements are not sufficient so long as they are not checked, and
can be improper depending on the layout of the room or the form of
work being performed

If not, they will be unable to eat and possibly starve
which can cause great harm to their health, so the right conveniences are
needed for staff to work whilst eat at their workstation

In order to
do this, floor routes should be free of issues such as uneven surfaces,
obstructions, steep slopes or the sound of construction

Security should
keep track of traffic to ensure that not too many people enter the
centre
