They later witness Leck as he kills his wife Ashen ( and Po’s aunt ) in the forest, and run from 
him before his grace, which is being able to strongly persuade and induce a hazy attraction to 
him, could overtake them while also searching for Ashen’s daughter Bitterblue as it was her 
dying wish

  When they arrived at the castle 

 
 

they are surprised to see Lek used his grace to claim it and invites Katsa to dine with him, 
Bitterblue and Po’s family

  Bitterblue becomes queen of Monsea, Po convinces 
people he can see, and Katsa sets out to teach girls in the seven kingdoms how to defend 
themselves, and promises to reunite with Po at his castle

  Another strong theme is deception and corruption which can be represented by many of 
the kings of the seven kingdoms such as Randa and Leck who do anything to remain in power
...
  Justice and redemption is another theme that is strongly presented in this 
novel as Katsa tries to redeem herself for her sins by acting through the Council
...
 
This book is an AP worthy book because it has many complex layers that build on top of 
each other
...
